About MoBusiness

The first software a business should buy.

For too long, the powerful tools that run a business were reserved for big enterprises. We built MoBusiness so every owner gets one simple system that brings the whole operation into focus, and makes the chaos a thing of the past.

What drives us

Why we built Mo.

Two simple beliefs sit underneath everything we do.

Our vision

The first software a business should buy.

For too long, powerful business operating tools were reserved for large enterprises, leaving micro and small businesses struggling with spreadsheets, manual workarounds and a mountain of complexity. Our vision is to democratise business structure. We want every owner and team to have a single, intelligent system that brings every core part of their operation into sharp focus, and makes chaos a thing of the past.

Our mission

Simple. Unified. Unstoppable growth.

Our mission is to remove friction. We build MoBusiness to be the simplest, most intuitive most-in-one system available. We're committed to providing the single source of truth that replaces a pile of disconnected apps, so our customers get more of what matters.

Mo. MoneyMo. CustomersMo. Time
Our history

We understand the chaos.

Our journey started because we were tired of patching together software that just didn't work the way a growing business really operates. So we stopped patching, and started building.

Our team

The people behind Mo.

Enterprise know-how, small business reality, and a shared dislike of unnecessary admin.

Leigh Hogan

Founder & CEO

My career was spent building and optimising massive CRM and automation systems for big corporations. I saw the power of structure, but I also realised those tools were far too complex and expensive for micro and small businesses.

When I started my own company, I was instantly trapped in the chaos: juggling spreadsheets and a dozen disconnected apps. I had all the expertise, but no system fit my reality. So we built MoBusiness.

It was created not as a product, but as the unified operating system we needed to run our own business properly. We stripped away the corporate clutter and brought the essentials, sales, service and finance, into one simple platform. Mo is the result of combining enterprise knowledge with small business necessity, so every founder gets Mo Money, Mo Customers and Mo Time without the complexity.

Anna McCormick

Co-founder & Head of Operations

My career has been a mix of business analysis, process simplification and communication: time spent untangling complex workflows and making information clear and usable. That shaped my core strength, understanding how real people move through systems, and designing processes that actually support them.

In building MoBusiness, I acted as the voice of the user. While Leigh engineered the platform, I questioned every step. Why this? Is it needed? Would a busy owner understand it? I drew on research, industry experience and my own move into self-employment to make sure Mo reflects the realities of micro and small business life.

My focus has been on removing friction and creating simplicity, so every part of Mo feels intuitive from day one. Starting a business is hard enough without tools built for huge enterprises. My goal was to build the structure for you, so you spend less time fighting systems and more time doing what you do best.

Shannon Brereton

Advisor, Service Business Design

My 15 years in a project-based, technical industry have taken me through every level of a business, from hands-on frontline delivery, through operations management, up into senior leadership. That lets me strengthen the financial and operational systems that underpin consistency and cash flow, lead teams through change, build a genuine culture of accountability, and balance technical know-how with commercial strategy to deliver scalable, profitable outcomes.

As a certified electrotechnology professional, and having spent over a decade with Micronair (relocating to Queensland to grow the business locally), I've led process improvements, developed guidance frameworks and driven operational excellence.

In joining MoBusiness, I bring this blend of deep operational insight, systems discipline and a leadership mindset. My role isn't simply about adding features. It's about making sure the platform is built for long-term sustainability, less stress for owners, and real-world growth.

Nicky Hogan

Advisor, Financial Compliance & Usability

With over a decade in the taxation sector and a strong foundation in business administration, Nicky brings the financial rigour and client-centred support that anchors our promise of simplicity without sacrificing compliance.

Since joining Gippsland Accounting Solutions in 2020, Nicky has focused on bookkeeping, tax preparation and full financial support. Her credentials include a Certificate IV in Business Administration, a Certificate III in Customer Contact and a Diploma in Management, and she's continuing her bookkeeping studies. Outside the office she's Treasurer for the Kath Foley Child Care Committee of Management, and just as at home fishing, camping, playing netball and spending time with family.

In her MoBusiness role, Nicky makes sure the platform doesn't just track finances, it guides people away from the common mistakes micro-businesses make around tax, bookkeeping and compliance, so they can sidestep the admin traps and operate with confidence.

Our origin story

From a frustration to a platform.

How a CRM for our own business turned into the most-in-one for Australian small business.

March 2024

The spark of an idea

Small business software was too hard.

Working closely with Australian small businesses, we kept seeing the same thing. CRMs and ERPs were either too complex, too expensive, or only solved one small piece of the job, like the one the accountant recommends. Most teams needed five systems just to keep the day running. We knew there had to be a simpler way.

Dec 2024

Our first version is born

A modest system is built.

By the end of 2024 we had our first version, a CRM designed to be simple, affordable and practical. We built the core customer and sales features, the first database structure, and a brand made for people who don't have an IT team.

Early 2025

From CRM to a most-in-one

Doing the job, not just tracking the sale.

Talking with trades, service operators and solo owners made one thing clear. After a customer says yes, the real work begins. So our CRM grew into jobs, scheduling, notes and invoicing, helping businesses manage the whole workflow, not just leads and contacts.

Mid 2025

Real users, real feedback

We put it in the hands of real owners.

Through 2025 we refined the platform with help from local small businesses. We added finance features, improved job workflows, shaped a clearer brand, and onboarded early beta testers, all to understand what actually helps small teams get paid and get home on time.

November 2025

MoBusiness goes online

A most-in-one for Australian business.

By late 2025 the product had grown well beyond a CRM. MoBusiness now covers customer management, jobs, quotes, invoices and the day-to-day running of a business. Instead of juggling five systems, small businesses can start with one platform that does most of what they need, every day.
